Here are some interesting molding shapes for marine animals. Have fun!

Apparatus and Materials

Plasticine is recommended (clay, play dough, or homemade dough), toothpick, ruler and pencil

Below are steps to mold particular shapes for different types of animals according to its category.

Marine Animals

A) Starfish



Roll a piece of plasticine with your palm and then cut it into pieces using a ruler.



Join each piece together as shown in the picture.



Join all the pieces together.



Add in the eyes.

B) Seahorse



Make the shapes as you see in the picture.



Join each part together to form its head, body and the fin. Then curl its tail.



Join all parts together.



Add in the eyes. Use a toothpick to make lines on its fin and stomach. Use a pencil to make a hole in its snout.

C) Whale



Make the shapes as you see in the picture.



Join each piece to form its body, fins and a tail.



Join all pieces together.



Add in the eyes. Make a hole on its top using a pencil.

D) Stingray



Make the shapes as you see in the picture.



Join each piece to make its body, fins and a tail.



Join all pieces together.



Stick on the eyes. Make some lines for its mouth using a ruler.

E) Crab



Make the shapes as you see in the picture.



Join the pieces together to make its pincers that attach to its body. Cut a small portion out from both its pincers using a small pen knife.



Join all pieces together.



Add in the eyes.
